The Clear Choice
You need an attorney with the experience to see around corners and the communication skills to guide you there plainly.
About Shayan Farooqi, Esq.
A Reliable Legal Mind for Your Business.
For nearly two decades, I have stood beside clients in boardrooms, courtrooms, and across negotiation tables. My job is to make the law work for you—whether that means drafting a bulletproof partnership agreement, negotiating the sale of your business, or stepping in to litigate when things go wrong.
I am licensed in New York and New Jersey, and I have successfully represented clients in thousands of hearings, trials, and appeals—from the Superior Court of New Jersey to the U.S. Federal District Court in Manhattan (SDNY). That courtroom experience is invaluable when drafting your contracts; I know what holds up when a judge is reading it.
Experience You Can Rely On
I serve as Regional Supervising Attorney and In-House Counsel at Trajector Disability, the nation’s largest Social Security advocacy group, where we maintain an exceptional 72% win-rate. In this role, I manage complex litigation and provide strategic counsel at the highest level.
My career has been defined by tackling complex legal challenges head-on. I have managed large caseloads at Choi Law Offices and The Law Offices of Neal H. Flaster, making regular court appearances, taking depositions, and drafting the kind of high-stakes legal documents that protect businesses and individuals alike.
Early in my career, I interned at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office and the Lansing City Attorney’s Office, prosecuting matters on behalf of the City—experience that gave me a deep understanding of how the other side thinks and builds their case.
Education & Community
I hold a J.D. from The Thomas M. Cooley School of Law and an M.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, with a focus on International & Global Finance. My undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Psychology come from Rutgers-Newark.
Beyond the office, I believe in showing up. I currently serve as an advisor to the Rutgers University Honor’s College Advisory Committee, coach girls’ softball and basketball, and have spent over a decade teaching Sunday School at Darul-Islah. Whether I am on the court or in a boardroom, I believe in building strong foundations and reliable teams.
